I strive to create a unique sense of place while gently removing the ornamental details of a landscape to reveal its inner soul and true essence. I seek the feeling of tranquility that infuses me from plein air painting. Contending with nature’s elements can be challenging; however, I find a comforting resonance and this transfers into my work. The silence of a wind, the majesty of a mountain, the serenity of a lake, the scent of a forest – these melodies of nature give me peaceful solitude and I’m in harmony with the land.
